FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

St. John’s, NL – August 20, 2025 – The Heather Cutler Foundation is proud to welcome a dynamic group of new volunteers who have joined the organization through the NVOLVE Program, an initiative of the Community Sector Council Newfoundland and Labrador (CSCNL).

The NVOLVE program connects newcomers to Newfoundland and Labrador with meaningful volunteer opportunities, fostering inclusion, skill development, and community belonging. By linking passionate individuals with local nonprofits, NVOLVE strengthens the social fabric of the province while ensuring organizations like The Heather Cutler Foundation can expand their capacity to drive change.

This newest cohort of volunteers includes Nazanin, Moshfeka, Sanaz, Shah, Ben, Raji, Fadi, Sayem, Farzaneh, and Fadeelatu. Together, they bring diverse backgrounds and skills that will enhance critical areas of the Foundation’s work—including administration, research, event coordination, communications, and community outreach.

“We are deeply grateful to CSCNL and the NVOLVE Program for connecting us with such a talented and committed group of individuals,” said Christopher Cutler, Founder and Executive Director of The Heather Cutler Foundation. “Our work depends on collaboration, and this cohort represents the very best of what community engagement can achieve: newcomers contributing fresh perspectives, passion, and resilience to a cause that urgently needs attention.”

In joining the Foundation, this volunteer cohort strengthens its capacity to deliver programs, support Canadians impacted by pancreatic cancer, and amplify advocacy efforts nationwide. While each volunteer is stepping into a different role, together they form an essential part of the Foundation’s growing team.

The Heather Cutler Foundation extends its warmest welcome to these volunteers and expresses its appreciation for the NVOLVE Program’s commitment to fostering inclusion and equity across Newfoundland and Labrador.
