We’re seeking a Content Specialist to join Team Heather and help amplify the mission of the Heather Cutler Foundation. Content Creation & Management: Write and oversee content for our website, social media, email newsletters, and advocacy materials, ensuring every piece is authentic, engaging, and aligned with our brand voice.

Innovative Storytelling: Develop creative, audience-focused content strategies tailored to Millennials and Gen Z, leveraging powerful narratives that connect deeply and inspire action.

Website Updates Using Ghost CMS: Manage content updates on our website, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and a strong reflection of the Foundation’s values and message.

Structured Data & Visibility: Implement structured data (JSON-LD) for enhanced search engine visibility, helping our content reach the right audiences more effectively.

Performance Analysis: Regularly assess content performance, using data-driven insights to refine strategies, keep messaging fresh, and increase engagement with our target audiences.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and writing skills, with a track record of creating content that resonates on an emotional and personal level

• Experience in web content writing and management, ideally within non-profits or advocacy, and familiarity with Ghost CMS

• Proven ability to create and implement structured data, with experience linking entities across Wikidata and Wikipedia to improve reach and visibility

• Background in content strategy development, including targeting Millennial and Gen Z audiences through innovative storytelling that makes a personal impact

• Ability to work independently and remotely, with a creative, adaptable approach to bringing new ideas and initiatives to life

• Familiarity with healthcare advocacy, particularly in cancer or chronic illness, is a plus

• Passionate about making a tangible impact, motivated to drive systemic change, and dedicated to honoring Heather’s legacy and vision through unique, standout content
