Electromyography
Electromyography (EMG) is a test that checks how well your muscles and nerves work. It uses small needles or sticky pads to measure electrical signals in your muscles. For people with pancreatic cancer, EMG can help diagnose nerve damage from chemotherapy, known as chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). This can cause numbness, tingling, or pain in the hands and feet. EMG helps doctors understand the damage and find ways to manage symptoms, improving quality of life during treatment.
